Breaking Barriers - Developing You Outside The Norm

The Learning Community has secured funding from the Police Crime Commissioner Grant to support 14 - 25 year olds at risk of creating anti social behaviour or worse due to lack of opportunities or local activities.

This will be a 3 day course

Day 1 will be a trip to Casting Innovations in Canklow where participants will learn how to mould metal

Day 2 will be a visit to a local alloment run by Fred and Lorraine (2 local Dinnington Residents who are passionate about community cohesion)

Day 3 will see a Lifeskills/Employability session delivered at our Office in Dinnington where we will have Apprenticeship specialists and local Employers come and discuss future career plans and opportunities.

Digitial equipment will be provided for those without

Each session will last 4 hours

This project is about encouraging social engagement in young people, improving team working skills and improving mental health through working in the fresh air. This project will reduce petty crime and Anti-Social Behaviour in the Dinnington area of Rotherham, South Yorkshire
