This project is aimed at Young People who would like to be empowered with new cooking skills that they can share in their family home and learn about taste buds, creative cooking and a shared interest in food.

Our aims are simply to:

Empower Young People with skills to cook a freshly cooked, substantial meal using ingredients in their cupboards or cheaper options will reduce food poverty and financial stress.

Build confidence, community resilience, reduce social isolation and improve mental and/or physical wellbeing whilst breaking generation cycles of limited cooking skills through food.

This is a Four week course which will be delivered at The Learning Community, 88 – 90 Laughton Road, Dinnington, S25 2PS

All equipment and produce will be provided and you can then take away your cooking to share with others!

Weeks 1 – 3, you will attend a 2.5 hour cooking sessions and on week 4 you will take an online Food Hygiene assessment to gain a certificate.

You will also receive a small gift of cooking tools to help you continue developing healthy, tasty and affordable meals.
